The Logistics Driver role…

The purpose of the Driver role is to safely and efficiently transport stock, materials, and equipment between company sites. This role ensures smooth operational flow by maintaining accurate deliveries, timely transfers, and supporting overall warehouse and logistics functions.

Duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Safely operate a 3.5-tonne (Luton or panel) van to deliver and collect goods across [specific region or nationwide].
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
  • Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Ensure all stock is delivered to the correct location in line with internal schedules and priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse and site teams to coordinate collections and deliveries
  • Support general warehouse duties when required, such as assisting with loading, unloading, or stock organisation.
  • Support Warehouseman in their duties.

Our qualification & experience expectations are:

  • Clean Full UK driving license
  • Previous experience as a van driver (preferably 3.5T) is desirable.
  • FLT license advantageous
  • Ability to lift and handle goods safely (manual handling involved).
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused attitude.

Our definition of success is measured in 2 ways, these are:

  • Vehicle is maintained in good condition; defects are reported promptly.
  • Minimise downtime and fuel use

  • Working 3 on – 3 off – Daily working hours are: 12 hours. Sunday is a none working day.
