The Mixing Team Leader role…
This is a hands-on role which will help drive Pure Pet Foods promise to champion Paws (dogs) and People by ensuring our great product is produced to the highest standard and in a safe manner. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Mixing Team Leader to oversee our AM mixing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food production processes, and the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
Duties and responsibilities of the role are:
- Adhering to and promoting Pure Pet Foods Health, Safety and Quality Procedures and Systems. To help ensure the staff work in a safe manner and to report on any unsafe practices or equipment.
- To assist managing labor resources and skills to maximize productivity and minimize costs within the AM mixing team.
- To assist in meeting the targets of the Production Plan and other customer requirements.
- Assessing team performance, providing feedback to team members and to the shift manager.
- To ensure that all mixes are produced to the specified quality, food safety standards and legal requirements, within the HACCP Plan and Food Safety Plan.
- To help keep the area clean and hygienic, maintaining best in show housekeeping standards.
- To communicate with, motivate, support, and guide staff.
- Identify any training gaps and work with the Production Manager to propose or provide trainin
- To minimize waste of all types, including ingredients, packaging, products, power, time etc.
- To help document aspects such as daily product usage, outputs and any other KPI’s as requested by the Shift Manager.
- To help carry out investigations as required in the event of accidents or customer complaint.
- To be directly involved in stock-takes as required by the Shift Manager.
- To attend HACCP and Safety Meetings when requested.

It’s essential that you have:
- Worked within a team leader role for a minimum of 1 year. Preferably within a food production environment.
- Worked within a food production role, blending or mixing products.
- It would be great if:
- First Aid and Food Safety certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- FLT Licence
